The leaves are falling from the trees. Winter’s dark nights are fast approaching. Atlantia’s brave warriors have returned safely home from battle. The day’s work is done. The crops have been harvested and everyone is ready to celebrate before winter’s cold winds blow. All are invited to join us here in Hawkwood for the Hawkwood Howl, a grand celebration of fall’s bounty!Sorry to miss Halloween festivities? On Friday evening come howl at the moon with Hawkwood! Come visit our Public House and market faire on Saturday for games, food and entertainment. Merchants and artisans welcome!
On Saturday evening after feast, a masked Ball will be held to celebrate All Hollow's Eve. Bring your best mask and period costume! If you do not have a mask, a mask making workshop will be held at the event. Please see our web site for more details and updates!
Martial Activities: For the fighters, a Bedford points tourney with triads will be held in both rapier and heavy combat. Archery will also be available, as well as youth combat for our younger fighters.
Arts and Sciences: A&S competitions will be held in the following categories:

Site: The site is the Lutheridge Conference Center, 28 Spruce Drive, Arden, N.C. 28704. 828/684-2361. The site is wet. No pets allowed (service animals excepted). Parking only in designated areas. Site opens Friday (Oct. 26) at 5:00 pm and closes Sunday (Oct. 28) at 11:00 a.m. There is plenty of tent camping space and there are heated cabins. *Cabin prices are PER NIGHT/PER PERSON. Please specify your preference in your reservation. Merchants are welcome, but must contact the Merchant Coordinator.

Cost Notes: Children 5 and under are guests of the Barony, but MUST have a reservation if occupying a seat during feast. Feast is sold by SEAT, not age! Non-member adults must add $3 to the above prices. All refund requests must be received IN WRITING within 7 days of the end of the event. The only true reservation is a PAID reservation! Include email address for confirmation.

Feast: A scrumptious and delightful feast will be prepared by Baron Thorgrimr inn Kyrri, Baron Hawkwood. Dietary concerns should be addressed to (thorgrimr_inn_kyrri@yahoo.com) Feast is limited to 100 seats/chairs.

Directions:
Find your best route to I-26, exit 40, Airport Road exit. Coming from the north/west, turn left at the ramp onto Airport Road; Coming from the south/east, turn right at ramp onto Airport Road. Follow Airport Road until it junctions with Hendersonville Road (Hwy. 25). Turn right onto Hendersonville Road. The entry to Lutheridge is less than a quarter mile on the right on Hendersonville Road. Signs will be posted (we hope!).
