Southern War Practice VIII
(2016-09-23 - 2016-09-25 - Site opens at 3 PM & Closes at 12 PM)
Ritterwald

War is rapidly approaching and the warriors in Southern Atlantia need to be prepared to fight in melee scenarios.

Whether it\'s the strength of heavy weapons or finesse of the rapier, combat embodies the skills and traditions of SCA Martial Combat. Fighters will find instruction in a variety of military scenarios and activities to help them achieve glory on the field of war.

Several Arts and Sciences activities will also be provided including an open display and an A&S challenge from the Nottinghill Coill Baronial A&S Champion.

Spectators can look forward to the excitement and watch as our warriors prepare for the rigors that are coming.

Martial Activities: Heavy and Rapier melee scenarios and instruction. This is one of the last chances to authorize prior to War of the Wings. There will be target archery and thrown weapons. If a marshal is found, combat archery will be offered as well.

Arts & Sciences Activities: Several Arts and Sciences activities will be provided including an open display and an A&S challenge from the Nottinghill Coill Baronial A&S Champion. If you have any suggestions or requests, please contact Seigneur Dreux d\'Anjou at dreux.danjou[AT]gmail[DOT]com.
