Tournament of the Red Dolphin

The populace of the Barony of Tir-y-don begs all who seek to gain renown by feats of arms, and artistic skill, to attend the Tournament of the Red Dolphin on Oct. 14, 2006, at the Jamestown 4-H Center, 3751 4-H Club Rd, Williamsburg VA 23185. The tournament is held in honor of Edward III's marriage to Philippa of Hainault in this Year of Our Lord 1328.
Martial Activities: There shall be combat with both traditional weapons such as sword and axe, and also with rapiers, and archers shall vie with each other in tests of skill. The combatant with the finest display of heraldry on the field shall be awarded a prize.
Arts & Sciences Activities: At the behest of Baroness Kaleeb, there shall be competition for the honor of creating the finest scroll. As it is the custom for ladies to bestow tokens upon their champions, the maker of the finest favor shall be awarded a prize. If any others, of their courtesy, wish to sponsor competitions, pray contact the event steward.
