Do you want to spend the day learning new rapier techniques?  Are you new to SCA rapier?  Do you want to teach rapier?  Or do you just want to fight?  Then this event is for you.  The purpose of this event is to bring rapier teachers, Provosts (White Scarves), Free Scholars (Yellow Scarves) and marshals, or anyone else who wants to teach rapier here to the beautiful coast (in fact the site is right on Bogue Sound) to facilitate learning and learning about rapier and possibly hold authorizations.

Martial Activities:  The idea here is to have a fun filled day of nothing but rapier education and fighting. Anyone wishing to teach please contact the Event Steward for scheduling and site location.

Cost Notes:  This event is free to anyone wishing to attend.  We will accept donations to cover luncheon cost.

Site Restrictions:  Service animals are welcome.  Pets must be on leash and no pets are allowed in the building. No alcohol is permitted, this is a school.

Feast Information:  We are planning to provide a lunch at Collegium:

Currently we are looking at soup, bread and cheese for lunch.

Please remember two things; 1) we need a head count so that the cook knows how much to prepare, 2) please make your donation when you get your food so that we can reimburse our wonderful cook for her food purchase.

Other Information:  The site opens at 9:00. Classes are to run from about 9:30 am to 12:00 pm, break for lunch and resume classes at 1:00 pm and run till 4:30 pm.  (We have the site from 9:00 till 5:00.)

Directions: 

Take your best route to US 70 East to Morehead City, NC.  US 70 is Arendell Street in Morehead City.  Go east on US 70/Arendell St. to  Carteret Community College, 3505 Arendell St, Morehead City, NC 28557 (for those with GPS: latitude: 34°43\'22.18\"N, longitude: 76°45\'27.25\"W).  The college is on the right side of the road.  Turn right at the first entrance to the college (there will be a large sign for the Crystal Coast Civic Center) between the Basic Law Enforcement Training building and the Commerce Development Center.  You will be headed toward the Civic Center.  At the “T” intersection turn right (the Civic Center will be the building in front of you).  The next building on the left is the Bryant Building.  Turn left into the large parking lot to the left of the building, you are here.
