Siege of the Black Tower
(2010-04-17 - Site opens at 8 AM & Closes at 10 PM)
Rivers Point

Can\'t you feel the enemy’s ships slink up our beautiful rivers with the intent of sneaking into Atlantia unawares? Fortunately, we are preparing for that day and look forward to seeing many of our Atlantian warriors in attendance and ready to ward off the attack. Our one restriction is the number of good gentles our precious tower can accommodate, on the day of the battle that number being 150 adults.

Many preparations are being made to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our very skilled Canton MAOS will present a brewing competition that will take place in the main hall. Our beloved Baronial MAOS will have an Arts and Sciences Competition going on about things that you might do during a siege (or perhaps snowbound.) The river folk have planned a Silent Auction fundraiser in order to gather some seed money to repair our tower.

The fighting, oh my! As you might imagine, our glorious heavy fighters will offer defense of our tower in the form of melee assaults and defenses. Our skilled rapier fighters will use their skills to load the scales to our advantage. Our archers, the best in the land, will display the precision that is the “way of the bow” to light our way to victory.

After the fighting, what a splendid feast the good folks of the river will have prepared in the great feast hall. Imagine what tales of glory and honor will be told around that table. Make this a time to come and honor our current Baron and Baroness, their Excellencies Bryce de Byram and Melisent la Ruse, as their service to the barony has been splendid and calming to our hearts.

For Friday night, April 16th, we have cabin beds available for $5 per person. Please contact Theresa Crean for information and to reserve your spot. A light traveler\'s fare and small breakfast will also be provided as part of the cost.

We have repeatedly advertised this event as a pre-registration event only; but we have a number of spaces available and are willing to accept site reservations up to the date of the event. Due to this change, we will not be able to offer the sack lunch that was advertised in the Acorn and on the Kingdom website.

Our feast MUST be reserved by no later than April 7, 2010 so that our cooks can gather all the necessary foods to prepare the sumptuous Feast that will await all who register in time.
