Caer Mear

The Barony of Caer Mear is pleased to host the Winter edition of Kingdom Univer¬sity. We invite you to join the rest of the Kingdom for a day of learning and fun.

Cost: No cost.

Cost Notes: Donations accepted. Please make checks payable to the Barony of Caer Mear, SCA, Inc. A lunch tavern will be available for purchase.

Site Restrictions: No alcohol, no sharp weapons, no open flames, no smoking anywhere on school grounds. Site opens at 9:00 am and classes will begin starting at 10 am sharp. Site closes at 6pm.

Please also note that the cafeteria will be open to everyone throughout the day, and lunch will be served between Noon and 1:00 pm.

Feast Information: No evening feast, but a hearty lunch will be available for pur¬chase for a nominal fee.

Lodging: Our Barony has secured a block of lodging for our travelling out of town guests. The hotel is a Sleep Inn, located at 950 East Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23228-6511. Phone: (804) 515-7800 for reservations and make sure you say you are with the SCA. We have reserved approximately 30 rooms at a substantial discount over the typical hotel rate for your added convenience. The hotel asks that you make the reservation for your room prior to January 31st to receive this special discount. From the North: Take your best route to I-95South toward Richmond. Take Exit 82 (US-301 South) and turn left onto Azalea Ave. The School is 1 mile ahead on your left.

From the South: Take your best route to I-95North toward Richmond. Take Exit 46(I-295North) and then Exit 38B (Meadowbridge Rd). Keep straight for about 4miles and turn Right onto Azalea Ave. The School is 1/2 mile ahead on your right.

From the East: Take your best route to I-64West toward Richmond. Take Exit 200 (I-295North) and then Exit 38B (Meadowbridge Rd). Keep straight for about 4miles and turn Right onto Azalea Ave. The School is 1/2 mile ahead on your right.
