Once again war stalks the fair lands of Atlantia.  Not for the first time the banks of the Rappohanock River see the movements of great hosts, eager for battle.  Seeking to reclaim their rightful lands rested from them by force one year ago, the Barony of Tir-y-don calls all noble warriors to her banner.  These lands are indeed worth the fight as they are the breeding ground for the noble Boar, provider of the finest meats to Atlantia\'s tables.  To Reclaim this great treasure Tir-y-don marches again in this the second Bacon War.

Martial Activities:  Make ready for war!  There will be Heavy, Rapier, and Archery available. The focuse of the days Marshal activities will be team melees

Arts & Sciences Activities:  In the interest of giving Artisans some time to research and create, here are the A & S competitions for the day:

Best Culinary use of Boar in period:   Come dazzle us with your edible delights. Documentation required (Short form is ok)
Best use of, and or depiction of (Boar, Wild Pig) non-edible in period: What else can you do with this wonderful beast? Stitch it, paint it, make a pouch from it, something from its bones… The possibilities are endless.
Populace Choice:  Bring your best arts share and to show your skills!  Everyone gets to vote!
Open display space will also be available for finished pieces and works in progress.

Site Restrictions:  No Alcohol.  No pets.  No open flames in the hall.  Firebowls Only.  Certain parts of the field may not be driven on.  Please pay attention to maps and guides.

Directions:  From points North: From US I-95South in Fredericksburg Exit 126 onto US-1/US17S toward Massaponax.  Follow US-17S for 66 miles.  Turn left onto Canoe House Road. (If you pass the Virginia Motor Speedway on US-17, you went too far)**

From Points West: Take US-33E through West Point.  Follow US33E until it intersects with US-17N.  Thurn left onto US-17N.  You will see the Virginia Motor Speedway on the left.  0.8 miles past the speedway you will see Canoe House Road (Rt. 605) and the Bayport Scout Reservation billboard.  Make a right onto Canoe House Road.  **

From Points South: Take your best route to US17N.  Continue to follow US-17N passing through York County, over the Coleman Bridge ($2.00 toll) and through Gloucester County.  You will see the Virginia Motor Speedway on the left.  0/8 miles past teh speedway you will see Canoe House Road (Rt. 605) and the Bayport Scout Reservation billboard.  Turn right onto Canoe House Road.

** Follow Canoe House Rd. 3.5 miles, making a left at every fork in the road.  Canoe House Road will chage to Bayport Road (Rt.604).  You will go down a winding hill and over a small bridge.  After the bridge make a left into the camp property.  Continue forward until you reach the Welcome Center.
