Hail, hail, all of Atlantia!  A new day dawns with the crowning of the mighty black lion and the beautiful and fierce peacock.  There will be fighting, cheese, shooting, cheese, A&S, cheese, merchants, cheese, Heroes & Villains, and...well you get the theme - more cheese.

Martial Activities:  A tourney of chivalry and grace to honor our new King and Queen will be held.  A hunt to battle the evil forces of beasts and man will set to challenge of all Atlantia\'s fighters heavy, rapier and archery.

Feast Information:  A French feast from Le Menagier de Paris, to please the palate of our fair Monarchs prepared by Lady Tirzah MacCrudden.
First Course:
Cooked Apples, Mutton pasties, Herb omelet, Sausages and Boudin,
Second Course:
Stuffed Pig, Meatballs, Rissoles of Fish, Black Poree, Crepes
Third Course:
Cold Sage, Rissoles of Pork, Sugared Flan. Spanish peas, Savory Rice
Fourth Course:
Peeled Nuts, Figs, Raisins, Poached Pears, Cheese, Wafers, Hippocras

Merchanting Information:  All merchants are welcome. The torch has been passed and it has been entrusted in me to hold the next Atlantian garb challenge. Falls theme will be Heros vs Villains!
There is no limited of the time period or culture, as long it is within the scope of the SCA. Both men and women are encouraged to come join in on this fun. There will be 5 categories for the challenge:
1. Overall ~ The overall “winner” is the individual that is having obvious fun with the challenge, they made their own garb, the garb is period appropriate, and the garb is unique and creative in design.
2. Most Unique Garb ~ The individual that has the most unique and creative garb, they are not required to have made their garb themselves.
3. Most Period Garb ~ The individual that has the most period appropriate garb, they are not required to have made their garb themselves. Documentation is encouraged for this category but not required
4. Best Group / Couple Garb ~ Two or more people who have the best garb combination, they are not required to have made their garb themselves.
5. Most Congenial Person ~ The individual that had the most fun with it and shared their joy with everyone in a positive/infectious way, they are not required to have made their garb themselves.

Scrivener Royal - Per Kingdom Law, Their Majesties Ragnarr and Lynette will be choosing Their new Scrivener Royal at Coronation.  Scribes get your pens and paints ready to compete to become the Kingdom’s next “Combat Scribe”!  More information to come.

Directions:  
Makemie Woods is ideally located in Lanexa, VA, just off Interstate 64 between Williamsburg and Richmond, VA. Many guests take advantage of the local attractions as we are less than 30 minutes from Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, the Williamsburg Pottery and hundreds of other shopping outlets. We are also just a little over an hour from Virginia Beach!

From the West (Richmond, etc):
Take exit 220 off I-64 and follow Rt 33 to the first traffic signal. Turn right at the signal onto Rt 30, and go 3.8 miles, just passing a mini-storage on the right, and the Barhamsville Post Office on the left. You will see the white Makemie Woods sign on your right. Turn right at the sign (Rt 632) and follow the paved road. In less than a mile you will see a small sign on your right, directing you left onto Rt 621, Ropers Church Rd.. Turn left and go over two bridges covering the interstate. You will see the entrance to Makemie Woods on your right.

From the East (Tidewater VA area):
Take exit 227 off I-64 and go North on Rt 30 approximately 2 miles. You will see the Makemie Woods sign on your left (Rt 632). (If you pass the Post Office, you have gone too far.) Follow the paved road. In less than a mile you will see a small sign on your right, directing you left onto Rt 621, Ropers Church Rd. Turn left and go over two bridges covering the interstate. You will see the entrance to Makemie Woods on your right.

From the North (Washington, DC):
Take 95 South to 295 towards Williamsburg, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, etc. Take 295 to 64 East, and follow the above directions from the Richmond area.

From the South (North Carolina):
Take 95 North to 295 towards Williamsburg, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, etc. Take 295 to 64 East, and follow the above directions from the Richmond area.

From West Point and the Middle Peninsula:
Follow 33/30 across the bridges to the second traffic signal. Turn left on to Rt 30 and follow the directions \"From the West\" above.
