Evidence of the Romans centuries earlier is present in the Village of Van Hoy, with a amphitheater large enough to host tournaments, a market place and the shoppes of artisans protected from any weather that may come through, plus the Roman baths for all to enjoy on a hot summer day, but today, the air is thick with the sounds and sights of war.

The sky is black with English arrows. The ground thunders as the French cavalry charges. The great clash of weapons on shields is heard as the battle lines meet. Join us at Crecy, during the Hundred Years War. Help the French or English win the day. Crecy, France will be moved to the VanHoy Campground in Harmony, North Carolina, for a day of thrown weapons, archery, armored combat, combat archery, youth combat, rapier combat, siege combat, cavalry, entertainment, drumming through the night, an artisan’s row, merchants and an arts and sciences competition.

Cost Notes: Additionally: There is no day trip price. Traveler\'s Feast ($3.00 per person) served on Friday between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Pot luck feast on Saturday evening after court.

Family Discount – Event price cap is $50.00 for admission if all persons are SCA members. Family is defined as custodial adults plus legal dependents. Proof of immediate family relations and age may be required.

Electrical hookups: $20.00 for the weekend. Electrical hookups for campers are limited in number and will be assigned by payment date.

Wood fenced covered paddocks - $10.00 per night, per horse.

The Roman Baths (swimming pool) are available for an additional $5 per person, payable at the gate upon check in.

Site Restrictions:  NO dogs, cats or other small pets. Service dogs welcome. https://www.ada.gov/service_animals_2010.htm Site is very wet, but no original containers. Campfires permitted in designated areas (please ask!)

Feast Information: Traveler\'s Feast served Friday between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Pulled pork barbecue sandwiches, potato salad, fresh fruit salad, sweet tea (paper goods provided)

Pot luck feast Saturday evening after court. Paper goods provided.

Merchanting Information: Merchants welcome! Set up is under the roof of the amphitheater, out of the sun and elements. Limited water and electric available.
