On Target
(2018-05-12 - Site opens at 8 AM & Closes at 10 PM)
Lochmere

Their Excellencies of Lochmere, Baroness Sarra de Vicenza and Baron Cormacc ua Rigain, invite archers to join Their Barony at a scenic waterfront site in Annapolis, Maryland for a day of archery, an atlatl battle, good food and companionship. NEW THIS YEAR --- A NIGHT SHOOT!! Stick around after Feast to send Flurries of Arrows Flaming through the Night!

Shooting will commence around 10 am on Saturday, May 20, 2017.

As always, the main event will be the challenging walk-through shoot. The path climbs through some rolling hillside but is not particularly steep. It can still be somewhat difficult to get to some of the targets\' locations so be prepared to climb, stretch, and twist to try and hit your mark. The challenges only make hitting the target that much sweeter! This year we will again be making an extra effort to remove poison ivy around the archery targets and along the route shooters will hike.

There will be a practice range set up for both target archery and atlatl. The Barony has lots of loaner gear for archery and atlatls available as well.

If you do not shoot, the Barony encourages you to come for the food, the socializing with old and new friends and the time to work on small A&S projects. Musicians and singers are welcome as well. If you are a newcomer to the SCA, this is a nice, low key, no pressure event to learn about archery and some of the many A&S activities practiced in the Society.

There are only a few chairs and tables at the site so attendees should bring their own.
