Kingdom Arts and Science Festival

The Barony of Tir-y-don is honored to host the Kingdom Arts and Sciences Festival on March 6th, 2010 at the Hellenic Community Center in Newport News, VA. Come see the finest works of Atlantian artistry, compete in your chosen art and enjoy fine conversation on all things Artistic.

Martial Activities: None. All are welcome to join us for our Baronial fighter Practice on Sunday the 7th of March. Directions will be available at the event site

Arts & Sciences Activities: Multiple Arts and Science activities will take place. The Order of the Laurel will sponsor the Personae Pentathlon. There will be an InterBaronial Championship, Brewing competition and Duke Gyrth Memorial Smackdown. Lots of space will be available for for open display, active displays, A&S 50 display area and much more. Adult, Member: $15.00 Day-Trip

Adult, Non-Member: $18.00 Day-Trip

Youth (6-17): $7.00 Day-Trip

Cost Notes: A $3.00 discount is offered to those that register prior to February 21st, 2010.

Site Restrictions: No alchohol will be sold. No original containers. No pets please

Feast Information: No feast will be served. A lunch will be sold.

Hotels: The discount rate with the Holiday Inn at 943 J. Clyde Morris Blvd. (Which is right in front of the Church) has expired but reservations can still be made. Detailed information is available on the website.

Directions:
Make your way to I-64. From Interstate 64 take Exit 258B. Go through the first stop light. At the second stop light, turn left onto Traverse Road (just before the Truck World on the left). Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church is on your left hand side of the road and next to I-64.
