Dun Carraig Baronial Birthday and Investiture
(2009-10-17 - Site opens at 9 AM & Closes at 10 PM)
Dun Carraig
October is once again upon us and the glorious theaters of Venice are now open for the season. To embrace these arts and the culture of this great city, we Baron Erwin and Baroness Mary Isabel of Dun Carraig do invite you to join us as we celebrate our stepping down and the incoming of our new baronage with a beautiful Venetian Masquerade Ball. Martial Activities: There will be armored and rapier tournaments, as well as an archery shoot. All of which will be used for the selection of the baronies new champions. All may participate even if you are not vying for a champion position. Please see the website for further details on each tourney.
A&S: Will be held with the spirit of the Bauta in mind. Being that the Venetian mask is such a gorgeous symbol of the Masquerade, any medium which includes a “Mask” is welcome. Documentation is not required, but strongly recommended.
Children’s Activities: There will be a number of children’s activities available to stimulate and educate the younger members of our populous. One of which will be a mask making, followed by a “best of show” competition for the children on the masks they make. For an updated listing of what is planned please visit the website.
