Bubba has settled in......
Bubba, bless his heart, he\'s been around a long time now and he\'s decided to settle in and reminisce about the years gone by.  This year it\'s back to the basics  with target arhery, thrown weapons, alt\'atl, drums, bards, and friends.  In addition to the creative shooting stations born in the twisted mind of the MIC, Bubba is going to have a competition for five shooting stations designed by YOU!  See details on the website.  As usual, there will be a wonderful potluck providing meat and paper goods.  Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish to share (please list contents for those with allergies).

As Bubba likes to say Y\'all come on out!

Martial Activities:  The fun will start as soon as you get to Elchenburg and get yourself settled in with a Friday night night shoot.

Saturday morning, bright and early, inspections begin at 8:30 am and ranges open with a clout shoot at 10:00.  As usual, there will be stations through the open field as well as the woods walk course.  The top three achers in each of four classes will be announced in court. Classes will be determined by the archer\'s score on one shooting station known only to the MIC.

Target Competition While Bubba and his MIC knock themselves out to provide a great shoot, this year Bubba has decided to open up the shooting station design to y\'all.  Five stations will be included and the archers will vote on which one they thought was the best.  Please contact the MIC with your idea so your station can be worked into the theme. Submission deadline February 29.

Arts & Sciences Activities:  There will also be an A&S competition with details coming.

After the meal is done, Bubba\'s gonna light himself a fire in the hopes that everyone will gather \'round, sing, tell stories and just generally have a right good time.  Mistress Lorelei will help in that as she\'s challenging everyone to a Bardic Competition........with one of her amazing shines (cordials) as the prize for the best.

Use your favorite archery terms and words in a story, song or poem.  Either sing or read it to us during the bardic, and the winner, by popular choice will be deemded the winner and get some shine (cordial)!  All bards are encouraged to come, sing their favorite archery songs such as Band of Brothers, Fruit of the Yew, Strike the Drum, or How Much Is That Grimmster In The Window.

What archery terms are you talking about you may ask?  These:  hit the mark, strung too tight, miss the mark, penetrate the butt (yes, that\'s an archery term, get your mind out of the gutter), quiver, shaft, target, string, bolts, arrows, fletching, fly true, ends, scored round, flight, loose, hold, straddle the line, fire at will, the line is hot, nock, serving, riser, prod, limb, shelf, serving, and any other you can think of.  Use your imagination and try to use all or as many of the words as possible.  Have fun!
