Cost Notes: University is free to all who attend. However, donations are gratefully accepted to offset any associated costs. Please consider giving $5 per person.

Site: New Covenant Schools. 122 Fleetwood Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501. Site open 8am, closes 6pm.

Site Restrictions: No Alcohol, No Pets (service animals allowed), No Live steel (exceptions made for specific classes. Please contact the Chancellor).

Feast Information: There will be a fundraiser lunch available for $5.

Other Information: Classes on every topic for which we could find a teacher. Come, learn and be merry!

The north-eastern edge of our lands offers many intriguing opportunities for the historically minded. Beyond the usual historical attractions, there is a European bakery, specialty cheese shop and an Irish pub within 10 minutes of site. Many other modern amenities with fine lodging and dining are within short travel.

Directions:

From Points North (Charlottesville, Washington, DC)

Take 29 South to Lynchburg using the new 29 Bypass at Sweet Briar College (goes around Madison Heights), take the Lynchburg Downtown exit (Rt. 210). Turn right at the end of the exit, follow road to end (you will go through 3 stoplights), then turn left at the 4th stoplight, cross James River, and continue several miles. At the next stoplight, turn right onto 221/Lakeside Drive (Billy Craft Honda is on the corner). Proceed about a mile and turn right at the stoplight at Wyndale Drive (Quick E Food is on your left). You will see the News and Advance Office on Wyndale. Proceed 500 yards and turn left on Fleetwood Drive. Proceed about a quarter mile and the school is on your left.

From Points South (Altavista, Danville)

Take US 29 North to Lynchburg. In Lynchburg 29 North becomes Wards Road. Proceed past Walmart/Sam’s Club, then just beyond the entrance to River Ridge Mall, take the US-29S/-US 501N ramp onto the expressway. Remain on the expressway several miles, and at the next stoplight, turn right onto 221/Lakeside Drive (Billy Craft Honda is on the corner). Proceed about a mile and turn right at the stoplight at Wyndale Drive (Quick E Food is on your left). You will see the News and Advance Office on Wyndale. Proceed 500 yards and turn left on Fleetwood Drive. Proceed about a quarter mile and the school is on your left.

From Points East (Farmville, Appomattox, Richmond)

Take US 460 West toward Lynchburg and exit onto US 501N/Candlers Mountain Road. Take the US- 29 S/US 501 North ramp onto the expressway toward Danville. (This is confusing because 29S and 501N are the same road!) Remain on the expressway for several miles, then at the next stoplight, turn right onto 221/Lakeside Drive (Billy Craft Honda is on the corner). Proceed about a mile and turn right at the red light at Wyndale Drive (Quick E Food is on your left). You will see the News and Advance Office on Wyndale. Proceed 500 yards and turn left on Fleetwood Drive. Proceed about a quarter mile and the school is on your left.

From Points West (Roanoke, Christiansburg, Blacksburg)

Take 460 East to the exit for Timberlake Road in Lynchburg. Proceed north on Timberlake Road through a series of stoplights, passing Lowe’s on your right. Continue until you get to Heritage Elementary School and Heritage High School on your right. Take the ramp onto US-501N. At the next stoplight, turn right onto 221/Lakeside Drive (Billy Craft Honda is on the corner). Proceed about a mile and turn right at the red light at Wyndale Drive (Quick E Food is on your left). You will see the News and Advance Office on Wyndale. Proceed 500 yards and turn left on Fleetwood Drive. Proceed about a quarter mile and the school is on your left.
