Come celebrate the joyous season with Their Excellencies of Caer Mear with fellowship, food, and fighting! To help us celebrate like the Christmas Court of 1183 at Chinon, please bring a dish to share (with an ingredient list, please!) and decorations for your table. Martial activities will be based on attendance and weather conditions.

Please note the strict site cap of 100 attendees and that attendees MUST pre- register. To pre-register, please e- mail the Event Steward with the modern names of each person in your party attending the event.

Martial Activities:  Martial activities shall include armoured and rapier combat, but the scenarios will be based upon attendance and weather conditions.

Arts & Sciences Activities:  Period table decorations and settings are encouraged, and the best display will be determined by Their Excellencies of Caer Mear.

Cost Notes:  Yule is free to attend, but attendees MUST pre-register as there is a firm 100-person site limit. To pre- register, e-mail the Event Steward the modern names of each member of your party to be in attendance. Donations at the door are welcome and will be forwarded to Battery Park Christian Church\'s CARITAS program that takes place each January.

Site:  Battery Park Christian Church 4201 Brook Road Richmond, VA 23227. Site opens 2pm, closes 9pm.

Site Restrictions:  Alcohol and pets are prohibited.

Feast Information:  Feast is a pot-luck. Please bring a dish to share; an ingredient list is necessary. Period dishes are encouraged but not required.

Merchanting Information:  No merchants.

Other Information:  Parking at the site is bit limited, so carpooling is encouraged where possible. Pre-registration is required to prevent going over the 100-person site cap. See the cost notes for how to pre-register.

Directions:

From North of Richmond: Take I-95 South to the Boulevard Exit (Exit 78). At the bottom of the offramp, make a left onto 161 North. At the next light, make a long right onto Westwood. Once on Westwood, go 1/2 mile to the next light, which is Brook Road. Make a left onto Brook Road. At the second light, you will see the Church across the street to the right.

From East of Richmond: Take I-64 West to I-95 North. The very next exit ramp (less than 1/4 mile after merging onto I-95) is Chamberlain Avenue (Exit 76A). Follow the directions from the South below.

From South of Richmond: Take I-95 North to exit 76A (Chamberlain Avenue). Stay in the center lane on the exit. The road will fork, fork Left onto Brook Road. Follow Brook Road 2.9 miles to Bellvue Road. You will see the Church across the street to your right.

From West of Richmond: Take I-64 East to exit 186 (Laburnum Avenue to Powhite Parkway). Stay to the right and take the Laburnum Ave exit. Follow Laburnum Avenue East. At the fourth stoplight, make a Left onto Brook. The next stoplight is Bellvue. You will see the Church across the street to
the right.
