Caer Mear

Please join us as we bid warm welcome to the NEW Baron and Baroness of Caer Mear. Please join us in celebrating the weekend with a display of Gules and Azure about your person in anyway you feel might enrich the occasion for all. For most this means clothing in a heraldic fashion, but we welcome all dsiplays of the Mighty Blue and Red

IT IS THE INTENTION OF THE CROWNS TO HOLD MEETINGS WITH ALL POLLING ORDERS AT SAPPHIRE.

MARSHAL ACTIVITIES (FIELD SPACE)
Please contact the MIC to register your day shade. Field space is very limited. Sapphire Joust Tournament Saturday, Other tournaments and Melee’s Saturday and Sunday, heavy and rapier, thrown weapons, archery, and youth fighting.

ARTS AND SCIENCES: Competitions include best use of “Gems”, and best use of “ Red and Blue” or Best use of a “Tower.

CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES: Children’s activities will be available Saturday and Sunday from 1-4pm for children ages 4-12. DRESS TO GET MESSY! A parent must drop off, pick up, and sign a registration sheet.

Site: Amelia Fair Grounds, Tom Scott Park. Opens at 4pm Friday and Closes at 12 noon Monday.

Site Restrictions: Fire pits are permitted provided they are completely turfed at the end of the event. Fire bowls are also permitted. Alcohol is permitted. No pets.

From East – Best route to Route 288. Go West on 360 (towards Amelia). Turn left on Business Route 360 East ( Goodies Bridge Rd ). There will be an International Truck store on right. (Note – it will be about ½ hour drive to Amelia from 288).

** Turn Right on Otterburn Rd (Rt 614). Go ½ mile to stop sign. Go straight (becomes Route 38) for ½ mile. Tom Scott Park will be on the right.

From West – Best route to 360 East. Turn right on Business Route 360 East ( Goodies Bridge Rd ). There will be an International Truck store on left. ** See above.

Mapquest Directions for the Event: It is about a half mile or so from the site but on the same road. It is the address for Amelia Co. Middle School. After you pass the school, you will come to a stop sign. Continue past the stop sign, and the site will be about a quarter mile ahead on the right hand side. Signage will be posted.
