Greetings, Good Gentles! We invite you to join St. Georges Canton as we celebrate Mel Brooks' Men in Tights to honor the feats of those who fought in the great Pennsic Wars and to delight the populace who remained in our cantons during the course of this Great Enterprise. Come for a day filled with fighting, fun, feasting, and Men in Tights! Try your skill at arms in one of our tourneys. Heavy fighters and Rapier fighters will delight in tournaments designed to please the fighters and entertain the spectators. The Archery Tournament will be a must-see event! Non-fighters can try their luck at the games table or be the one to best Little John at the Bridge! Gentlemen, a special prize will be awarded for the winner of the Ladies' Choice of Men in Tights!
For those who are interested in the Arts and Sciences, we offer the following competitions:
- Follow in the footsteps of Friar Tuck and enter your best brew (beer, wine, cordial). You must be 21 to enter. Please bring enough of your entry for the legal populace to sample!
- Item Documentable to the movie – Enter any item that can be documented to Mel Brooks' Men in Tights
- Best use of archery or archery related items in a non-weapon piece
- The Crusades – any item or research documentable to the crusades. Documentation is required.
- Special Youth Division – The Legend of Robin Hood – Enter any item documentable to one of the many legends surrounding Robin Hood. Documentation is required.

Feast: St. Georges Canton will provide meat for the feasting. To supplement this bounty, please bring a side dish. If your last name begins with A-H, please bring a vegetable dish; if your last name begins with I-M, please bring a salad or fruit dish; if your last name begins with N-R, please bring bread; and if your last name begins with S-Z, please bring dessert dishes.
Site: Pickens County Shrine Club, 831 Griffin Mill Rd, Pickens, SC, 29671 Site opens at 10 AM and all revelers will be headed home by 9 PM. The site is wet, but please no original containers. NO pets. No fires.
