**** House Taivassalama\'s   10th Annual St Urhos Tourney!!! ****

Know that long ago, in far Finland, the wine crop was threatened by hoards of Grasshoppers.
Into the maelstrom of Vintner’s difficulty stepped a Giant of a Man, URHO, Mighty URHO, who with his pitchfork chased the evil Grasshoppers from all of Finland. Forever earning him the love and honor due a Finnish Saint…Saint Urho!!!  His Heroic deed is commemorated every March the day before St Patricks Day (some 2nd rate Irish Saint) and we, the members of House Taivassalama, hold a Wondrous Tournament in his honor WITH FABULOUS PRIZES!!!!

Again we have Kubb** (Yeah, yeah I know Kubb is Swedish...but kyykkä (The much better Finnish version) pretty much requires snow and ice or a gravel field.   Kubb is a throwing game where teams try to knock down the opposing side\'s pieces with short throwing sticks.

Filk Singing competition (Extra Points given for Grasshopper or St Urhoesque theme)

20:00-22:30 Dancing
23:00       Site closes

Feast Information:  Pasty Feast for 40 people $2.00 day trip + $6.00 for Pasty Dinner (Pastys are Corni...uh Finnish Meat Pies)
