The Spanish court of Isabelle and Ferdinand is one of the richest in the world. Columbus has returned from his voyages and has brought treasures from new lands. Their most gracious Majesties of Spain have invited their friends from near and far to celebrate their good fortune and to join them for 12th Night festivities and the la Danza de Oro (the Dance of Gold) ball.

Beautiful art adorning the walls, fatal intrigue in the courts, ladies and lords alike in rich velvets and silks, a rowdy tavern filled with songs and games of chance, a grand feast filled with delicious and exotic dishes, and dancing into the night.... all this and more awaits you at 12th Night.

Arts & Sciences Activities: Garb Runway Challenge.
Come one, come all and see what finery the populace of the Kingdom of Atlantia is wearing! Contestants interested in the challenge can sign up at the A&S table starting at 10:00 am. To enter, each contestant must present themselves in the outfit or have a model outfitted in your entry. Documentation is encouraged, but not necessary. All that is required is a full frontal photo of the outfit and a short description. Contestants or their models will then display their fabulous garb creations as they walk the runway for the judges and the populace as the description is read. Judges will then question each contestant to ask about details of the garment. The winner will be announced in evening court. Sponsored by The St. Anne\'s Guild of Clothiers.

Curiosities of the New World
What wonders made their way into the Queen\'s court in a time of exploration by the Spanish Armada? Bring forth your finest treasures that are inspired by the gold, birds, plants and animals from the new world. Documentation is highly recommended in order to show the populace how your creations were found by stepping off of the European continent.

Creating an Armada
Without a doubt, one of the strongest presences amongst the seas was the Spanish Armada. But how did this really come to pass? From the evolution of navigational tools to design and development of more worthy seafaring vessels, show us your love of life on the high seas in this nautically themed competition sponsored by The Corsairium. Documentation required.

The Skill of the Cartographer
Discoveries would be nothing without being able to get back to them! Bring us one of the most functional (and under rated) forms of art – maps! Whether it’s a way to the new world, a depiction of efficient trade routes or even maps of our fair Atlantia, you are sure to dazzle our citizens on your work! Documentation is highly recommended.

Open Display
Our open display is a place that you can show off your works in progress, your favorite creations and your biggest inspiration. No pressure, no judging, just lots of oohs, aahs and squees! A place for open mediums, your creativity is the only limit. Whether you are just getting started or you’ve been perfecting your craft for decades, we encourage you to join us so that everyone can see your work.

Illuminating Family Pride.
Research how heraldic arms were displayed during your persona\'s time period or the time period of another person then render your own arms or that of your chosen person in that style. Documentation is required. Limited calligraphy is acceptable as a demonstrated part of the exemplar(s) but this is primarily an illumination competition. Illumination can be an individual coat of arms, family tree, roll of arms of an extended group, or other exemplar-supported display. Dirty Half Dozen Largesse.
Not unlike the Spanish fleet, our beloved Royals travel far and wide showing the Known World the majesty that is the Atlantian spirit. In order to support them in our travels, we are holding a Dirty Half Dozen Largesse to collect handmade items for them to bestow upon the worthy as they travel. In order to participate, all you have to do is create 6 handmade items to display. As the populace marvels at the works presented, they will be given opportunity to vote for their favorites. At the end of the day, items displayed for the Largesse will be donated to their majesties.

Cost Notes: No need to bring feast gear. Just bring a mug to drink to the health of all. PayPal will be available for electronic payment. Please check website for opening and closing dates. Requests for refunds will be issued no later than 10 days after event closes.

Site: The Empire Room, 203 South Elm St, Greensboro, NC. The site will open at 6:00 pm on Friday and close at 12:00 pm on Sunday. All activities will take place on Saturday.

Site Restrictions:  Absolutely no outside alcohol will be allowed to be brought on site. A bar selling beer and wine will be provided by the Empire Room for those over 21 wishing to partake.

Feast Information: The Spanish court with their exotic foods and spices from the New World will tempt your taste buds and satisfy your palate with a sumptuous Spanish feast prepared by our El Cocinero Real, Lady Magdalena la Sanguigni and her fabulous kitchen staff.
