Take exit 84B for I-295 toward Charlottesville/I-64 W
Use any lane to take the US-1 N ramp to Ashland
Continue onto Exit 43D
Merge onto I-295 N
Take exit 49A to merge onto US-33 W toward Montpelier
Continue on US-33 W. Drive to VA-623 N in Hanover County
Turn right onto VA-623 N
Farm Entrance is on the Left. Follow Event Parking Signs behind Vegetable Market to Registration Gate.
Alternate Northern Directions:
Take I-95S to exit 92, Rt. 54 (England St.). Turn left at Rt. 1 (Washington Hwy.) and go south for aprox. .75 mile. Turn Right on Ashcake Rd/VA-623 S, proceed for approx. 4 miles. NOTE: nav apps will announce you have arrived about a quarter mile before you reach the entrance to Farm – continue approx. .25 mile; entrance to site is on the Right. Follow Event Parking Signs behind Vegetable Market to Registration Gate.
Restrictions:
Fires: Firebowls Only, no ground fires.
Pets: Crated/Leashed and the leash attached to a person. (This is a working farm and animals are on site)
Noise Ordinance: 10 pm (amplification). Quiet Hours: 1 am- 6 am
Alcohol is permitted. (VA ABC Banquet Permit)
Accessibility:
The site includes fields, large tents, and buildings with fans. Multiple Handicapped
parking locations and portojohns will be available. Terrain is flat/gently sloped grass
and gravel. Guest Services will provide golf carts transport over longer
distances.

Join the Barony of Caer Mear as we welcome new Baronage at the 49th Annual Gem Joust. Activities to Include: Court - Royal and Baronial. Tournaments (Friday-Sunday - Armored, Rapier, Youth), Thrown Weapons, Art and Sciences Competitions and Displays, SCA History Displays, Bardic and Dance, and Youth Activities. Cancellations/Refunds: Refund requests must be sent to the event reservationist, in writing or email, within 5 days of close of the event. No refunds will be made if the event does not make a profit.
