Bright Hills

​Once again the Atlantian populace will gather in the Barony of BRIGHT HILLS to test themselves in two completely different contests. On Saturday, September 10th, 2022 be prepared to marvel at the skill & deeds of Atlantian Cooks and Archers. We meet on the "fields of battle" at the Baltimore Bowmen. Here will be decided the finest Cooks and mightiest Archers in the Kingdom. Of course we also invite any and all contestants from our sister Kingdoms to compete as well. This is a time when too many Cooks will not spoil anything! ​

FightingArchery...of course. Lord Lewin, last years winner, promises a perilous course based on Norse Myths. And can competition cooking over open fires be considered a martial activity? Even if not, we will be cooking competitively. Spectators joyfully welcomed!
Arts & Sciences:There will be Bardic around the campfire Friday and Saturday nights. Classes, Bardic challenges and A&S displays will soon be issued.
Feast:YES..yes..yes! There IS a feast. Menu for Royal Archery & Trial by Fire Event Bread & butter, Assorted pickles, Roast Chicken, Sallet of Greens, Roasted Squash, Mixed grains / “Corn”. Entrement - Gelye in Peele Roast Pork, Juniper Berry Sauce, Mustard, Carrots & Parsnips, Fungi di Monte (Mountain Mushrooms), Egg Noodles. Dessert As always, the Cooks reserve the right to modify this menu as required. Feast cost- $12.00 please pre-register through SCArs to insure a seat at feast.

Other:There are handicap access portos and parking. The area is hilly and unpaved. Scooters may have rough going through the site, but it is passable. There are no charging stations. SCArs is open now and will close Wednesday, Sept 7.

Registration Notes:SCArs is now open and will close Wednesday, 7 September. Only pre-registered feast seats are available. There will be no feast seats available at Troll.

Site Restrictions:No alcohol on archery range. No smoking or vaping on site. All pets must be leashed. Watch out for a large outcropping of stone, last seen close to the parking lot.

Directions:
From the north and west: From I-695 E, take Exit 31A for MD 147/Harford Road towards Parkville. Turn left at the light at end of ramp onto Harford Road N. Continue on Harford Road approximately 2 miles to Graham Memorial Park entrance on right. Go past equestrian center and through yellow gate downhill to parking. From the south and east: Via I-695 N, take Exit 31B for MD 147/Harford Road towards Carney. Turn right at end of the ramp to Harford Rd N. Continue on Harford Road approximately 2 miles to Graham Memorial Park entrance on right. Go past equestrian center and through yellow gate downhill to parking. Please note, the entrance to the Bowmen is obscured until you are right on it, and you will need to slow down to make the right-hand turn into the driveway. The driveway is gravel, filled with potholes (that have been filled in lately!) and shared with the equestrian center, so please observe the 10 MPH speed limit.
