Travel forward through time from the glory days of Rome and Byzantine era, we find ourselves on the Silk Road stretching from Rome and Russia across Persia and into eastern China. For centuries, caravans ventured across these lands to buy and sell an extravagant mixture of goods bringing the splendor of silk to Europe. Come celebrate the last court of Valharic and Arielle and welcome Atlantia’s Rightful Heirs Logan and Rowan as they ascend the thrones.

Through out the weekend come test your of skill in armored combat, rapier, archery and throwing weapons.

Arts and sciences will have displays, competitions and classes. Tempore Atlantia will feature items from 1492-1600. http://moas.atlantia.sca.org/tempore.htm

Merchants are welcome to share their wares.

Children’s activities will be youth armored combat, youth rapier, and archery. Children can look forward to classes and playing on a boat, in a fort, and in the tunnels. Youth Retainers and Court Escorts are encouraged.

Camping on site will be in campsites featuring 10 platform tents, each with 4 cots. Each campsite has a picnic shelter and campfire ring. Bathhouses, with flush toilets and hot showers, are shared between campsites. All campsites are nestled in the trees. Just bring your bedding. Period pavilions may camp on the field with a bathhouse nearby, no fire ring.

Feasts: Saturday night, a feast in honor of Their Majesties prepared by the renowned Bright Hills Cook Guild with Dame Olwen the Odd as the head cook. Celebrations continue Sunday with Lady Grace Whyting and the Stierbach Cooks Guild preparing a second feast. Off board seating will be available for both. Breakfast will be provided as part of the site fee both Saturday and Sunday morning.

Make checks payable to the “Canton of Sudentorre, SCA Inc.” Please include modern name, SCA name, and membership number with expiration. All non-member adults please include the $3 non-member surcharge. The only reservation is a paid reservation.

The site is the new Camp William B. Snyder, 6100 Antioch Road, Haymarket, VA 20169. The site is dry with fires in fire pits only.

Take your best route to Interstate 66 to exit #40 (Route 15).
Travel south on Route 15 to the second traffic light and turn right onto Route 55 (John Marshall Hwy).
Travel west about 1 mile to Antioch Road.
Turn right onto Antioch Road and follow sign to Camp Snyder.
