Battle for the marsh Abbey

Brockore Abbey

Deep in the woods, on the edge of the marsh, a small abbey has stood silently for years on disputed lands.  Secluded, almost forgotten.  But times have been hard in the Canton of Misty Marsh, and so they look to these lands as a source for new revenue. Brockore Abbey serves as adviser and protector for Marsh Abbey, and they have heard that Misty Marsh is preparing it\'s army for the march.  Therefore the Abbot has put out a call for help.

Come join the Brockore Abbey in defending Marsh Abby, or march with Misty Marsh as they lay claim to the lands.

Martial Activities:  Melees, heavy and rapier, plus a torch lit tourney Friday night, target archery and equestrian.

Arts & Sciences Activities:  Cook a campaign meal.  At least three items, cooked on site, over an open fire.(in a fire bowl) Contact the reservationist by March 3rd to arrange a fire bowl or bring your own.
Prepare for the battle, by crafting items that are used on a campaign march or in a battle, or craft items found in an abbey. (get creative) Open.

Cost Notes: If camping as a group, reservations must be received by March 3rd, send name of group with registration.  Day shade space  on the field, may be reserved on a first come bases.

Site:  Antioch Recreation Center, 2460 Antioch Rd., Hartsville, SC 29550. Site open Friday 6pm, closes Sunday 12pm.

Site Restrictions:  Site is dry. Fires in fire bowls only (no ground fires.) Pets must be leashed and picked up after at all times. Parking, in designated areas only.

From points North and South: Make your best way to I-95 exit 164, US-52. Head West on US-52 approx 5 mi. Turn left onto Hwy. 52 / S. Governor Williams Hwy. Go 2.1 mi. Take the SC-34 / SC-151 ranp towards Hartsville / Charlotte. Go 0.2 miles. Turn left onto SC-151 / SC-34, follow SC-151 N. Go 9 mi. Turn slight right onto SC-151 BR N. Go 2.4 mi. Merge onto US-15 N. Go 4.1 mi. Turn slight right onto US-15. Go 0.7 mi. Turn left onto Rolling Rd. go 1.9 mi. Turn right onto Antioch Rd. Go 1 mi., site is on the left.

From the West: Make your best way to I-20 exit 116. Merge onto US-15 N. toward Bishopville /Hartsville. Go 14.1 mi. turn left to stay on US-15 N. Go 9.3 mi. Turn left onto N. Rolling Rd. Go 1.9 mi. Turn right onto Antioch Rd. Go 1 mi., site is on the left.
