Insurrection - Highland River Melees 2018
(2018-06-01 - 2018-06-03 - Site opens at 5 PM & Closes at 12 PM)
Highland Foorde

We miss those blissful, vintage SCA events from The Days of Yore, so the Barony of Highland Foorde is hosting an Insurrection at Highland River Melees 2018!

We're tossing out the status quo and we're kicking it Ye Olde School, back to when events weren't so serious and were more focused on sheer joy! Expect tonnes of shenanigans in our triumphant blast from the past!

Lend a hand! Lend a smile! Lend a laugh! See you there!

Website: http://highland-foorde.atlantia.sca.org/hrmelees/index.php

Martial Activities: Sir Gaius Tascius Severus Fabianus will create the melee situations for the Armored Combatants. Master Connor Levingestoune will create the melee scenarios for the rapier combatants. Combat Archery by Lord Cameron de Grey. Archery will be co-run by Lord Christoff le Strange and Alexandria of Stierbach, supported by The Honorable Company of Grimmsfield. Thrown Weapons by Lord Geoffrey Doune. Siege by Lord Nicolo Santorio. Youth Fighting by Lord Taban Unegen. Equestrian by Lady Aine D'Alton and Epy Pengelly aka Brownie.

Arts & Sciences Activities: Baroness Janina Krakowska wishes to remind you of A&S competition you remember fondly in the past. Recall when when you checked in at Troll, children were smalls, and we tried to speak forsoothly. These are out of favor due to non-periodicity but those times were fun. Display a fun throw-back project. Winners will be Baronial choice, and bribery is period! Fiber Solar is planned by Baroness Deirdre ni Aodhfionn. Lord Angus the Brewer will host a brewing competition. Baroness Lanea verch Kerrigan will host Bardics! We have a few classes planned and a couple of competitions.
