Since the sweet season of flowers has come my heart and mind turn to tourney. Tents and pennons, silk gonfalons, Knights and sergeants in battle array. Come celebration the 25th Anniversary of the Fairest of Kingdoms, Atlantia, at Sapphire Joust. Tourneys, competitions, historical displays, revels and fellowship await you! Atlantia gathers as in days of old, with tents and pavilions spread so that old friendships may be renewed and new ones forged.

Martial Activities: There will be a wide variety of tournaments throughout the weekend. Please see the website for further details.

Cost Notes: Please note that our price structure is set up for adults being 18 and up, and youth are aged 17 to 10, and all children under 10 are free. On May 1, 2006, pre-registration fees increase to $15 (adult) and $10 (youth) for camping, and $10 (adult) and $8 (youth) for day-tripping

Site: The event will be held at Tom Scott Park in Amelia County. The site opens at 4:00 pm on Friday, May 26 and closes at noon on Monday, May 29. The site is WET. This event will be run liken to Pennsic: i.e. a camping event with tents and pavilions in which all activities will take place. There will be shower area provided, but there is not facility to run water to all private camps.

Site Restrictions: Dogs are permitted but they must be leashed and the leash must be attached to a person. Fire-pits are permitted provided they are completely tufted at the end of the event. Portable fire bowls are also permitted.

Merchants: Merchants must pre-register, and merchants must provide their own tables. The merchant co-coordinator is Lord Miguel Estevan de Cabra; if you have questions, please email sapphire_merchant@comcast.net or contact the Event Steward.

Directions:
From the North or the West: Take your best route to I-64 to 288 just West of Richmond. Take the exit for 288 South and continue on 288 to the exit for 360 West to Amelia.

From the South: Take 288 West from I-95. Take 288 to the exit for 360 West to Amelia.

From 288 and 360 West to Amelia: Take 360 West for about 20 miles to a right exit for Business 360 West in Amelia. Turn Left at the bottom of the ramp and continue on Business 360 almost 2 miles to Otterburn Rd (Route 614) on the left. Continue 1 mile (go straight through the stop sign) and take a right after the fairgrounds into Tom Scott Park.
