Shake off winter doldrums and come to a day of classes! There will be a gardening track with classes on herb gardens, dye gardens, Persian gardens, and veg gardens. Other classes include cooking for SCA feasts, and various fiber arts amongst other topics.

Site: Izaak Walton League, Mullinix Mill Road, Mount Airy, MD 26430 Site opens 9:30am, closes 5:30pm.

Cost Notes: Bring luncheon gear as a lunch sideboard is included in the site fee. Under 10 – guests of the Shire.

Site Restrictions: Service animals only. The Izaak Walton League is a dry site and is handicapped accessible.

Other Information: Leave your fighting gear at home as there are no martial arts. Gate opens at 9:30 am; first class starts at 10:00 am; lunch will be served at 12:00 noon; classes resume at 1:00 pm; with the last class finishing up at 5:00 pm. Site clean-up commences directly thereafter. Anyone interested in teaching a class should contact the Event Steward.

Directions:

From the South: Make your best way I-270 N. Take exit 16 for Father Hurley Blvd toward MD-27/Damascus and keep right at the fork and merge onto Ridge Rd. (Rt. 27). Stay on Rt. 27 as it changes names from Ridge Rd., to Main St. In downtown Damascus, stay on Main St. as it turns into Rt. 108 (Damascus Rd.). Turn left at Mullinix Mill Rd. Destination will be on the left.
