Yule
(2013-12-21 - Site opens at 9 AM & Closes at 9 PM)
Caer Mear

Please come out and help Caer Mear celebrate Yule! We are planning an afternoon of dancing, music, a pot luck feast and good friends.

Arts & Sciences Activities:  Several Yuletide themed competitions are planned for the day\'s festivities.

1. There will be a best mask contest. Decorate your mask however you wish for the masked yule ball. No documentation is required but having a documented representation would be wonderful.

2. Best table decoration/display. Again no documentation is required however it would be wonderful to have a documented source where you have derived your inspiration from. If you don\'t want to have a period style table you can always make a gingerbread house or even simply decorate your table with holy sprigs for the season. There are no limitations (except no open flames or alcohol). Can be edible or inedible.

3. Best Yule time treat. This can be a savory or sweet dish and documentation for this is required although it can be short form.

4. And lastly there will be a contest for the children, any and all ages. We\'d like to see them bring out the best handmade yule gift they can make. In period you would have had to make the gifts for others by hand so we\'d like to see what the children can come up with. Documentation is not necessary but would be appreciated.
