Atlantia's 30 Year Celebration

Come one, come all, to Atlantia’s 30th Birthday Celebration! A host of activities, with something for everyone, are planned for this event including martial activities, A&S activities, dancing and a Party. Set among the rolling hills of Virginia on the estate of James Madison’s Montpelier, this is an event you won’t want to miss!

Martial Activities: A variety of tourneys are planned for armored, rapier, youth, equestrian and target archery, with activities on both Saturday and Sunday. A mounted archery demo is also planned.

Arts & Sciences Activities: A full schedule of A&S classes, activities, and competitions are scheduled and posted on the website. There will be dancing, dancing and more dancing, with instruction and live music. Artifacts and documentation detailing the history of our great Kingdom will be on display for all to wonder at.

Cost Notes: Reservations are available by mail and through ACCEPS (http://acceps.ansteorra.org/index.php) until August 20, 2011. Lunch and Dinner for Saturday and Sunday are available via pre-registration only at a cost of $5 per meal. Each meal is pre-registered separately. All Equestrian participants must pre-register. Children Under 6 are guests of the Barony to attend the event, camp, and share parents\' meals. Please pre-register meals for children under 6 if you wish them to have their own serving. Refund restrictions and information will be available on the event website.

Site Restrictions: No pets. Campfires are allowed in Pennsic-style fire pits (replace the sod at the end of the weekend) or in free-standing fire pits. Trees must not be cut! Bring your own firewood. Water is available on site, with hot showers provided. No hoses may be attached. This is a wet site!

Lunch/Dinner Information: Lunch and Dinner, will be prepared by Master Chirhart, and will be available on a pre-reg only basis. A tentative menu is posted on the event website.

Directions:

James Madison\'s Montpelier is located 4 miles south of Orange, Virginia, 45 minutes west of Fredericksburg, 45 minutes north of Charlottesville, and 2 hours south of
Washington, D.C. (Please be aware that there is a Virginia town named Montpelier located on Route 33, outside of Richmond. This is not the home of James Madison.)

From Washington, D.C.

From 66 west, take Route 29 south to Culpeper; exit onto Route 15 south toward Orange. At Orange, take a right at the second stoplight onto Route 20 south. Go about 4 miles.
Take a right onto the paved road just beyond the old Esso station.

Or take I-95 south to Fredericksburg; exit onto Route 3 west toward Culpeper. Make a left onto Route 20 south, continue to the town of Orange. Go about 4 miles past town.
Take a right onto the paved road just beyond the old Esso station.

Your journey should take approximately 2 hours.

From Richmond, VA

Take I-64 west to Zions Crossroads. Exit onto Route 15 north to Orange. At Orange merge onto Route 20 south, go about 4 miles. Take a right onto the paved road just
beyond the old Esso station.

Your journey should take approximately 1-½ hours.

From Charlottesville, VA

Take Route 29 north to Ruckersville, then take a right onto Route 33 east. At Barboursville, take a left onto Route 20 north toward Orange. Go about 8 miles. Take a
left onto the paved road just beyond the Montpelier entrance.

Your journey should take about 45 minutes.
