The Battle of Brunaburh, the mighty battle
between the Saxons and their mercenaries
and the alliance between the Vikings, Britons
and Scots, comes to Raven"s Cove. Come
enjoy a day of fighting, bardic, archery and
food as we celebrate our birthday.

| Arts & Sciences: | Battle scribes of Atlantia, your services are
needed to preserve the record of our
glorious battle, the battle of Brunaburh.
Songs and Stories, Poems and Paintings,
all forms of the description and inspiration
gained will be brought before our populace.
There will be five different competitions
(depending on participation it may be split
up into subcategories) and then a display
table if you would like to show your skills
but not be in the competitions.
Battle poetry and songs. Either written or
sung, we will wait with bated breath to hear
the telling or the inspiration gained from the
battle.
Depictions of the battle – whether be scroll
or painting or embroidery, any visual
depiction of the battle will be brought
together to show the story.
For Atlantia’ seamstresses, blacksmiths,
leatherworks, Lords and Ladies of all armor
crafts, bring your inspiration of Brunaburh’s
battle armor!
Lord Ulf calls to all brewers, there will be a
mead brewing competition. Bring your
meads and your recipes to compete for
bragging rights and prizes. |
| Feast: | There will be a day board of porridge (stew),
smoked meats, cold cheese, bread and fruit. There are a limited number of feast tokens. Cost is $5.00 per person. Ages 5 and below are free. Please pre-register by March 7th. Any not claimed by that time will be first come first serve. |
