Le Grande Tournoi de Amitie (the grand tourny of friends)

Attilium

One field of honor shared by equestrians, armoured, rapier and archery combatants. Competitors will join teams for a day of fun full of pagentry and tournamants. The Cantons of Attilium and Elvegast are co-hosting the event.

Martial Activities: Their will be tournaments for Jousting, Armoured, Rapier combat and Archery.

Arts & Sciences Activities: We are organizing an A&S competition to include experienced artisans and newcomers alike. There will also be a herald competition for the 3 heralds introducing the teams.

Cost Notes: There is no extra cost for people looking to camp. There is also an additional $10 a night hook-up fee for people interested in hooking up to electricity. Let the reservationist know you if you want electricity.

Site: Little River Trails campground, 1690 McNeill-Hobbs Rd., Bunnlevel, NC 28323 (south of Lillington, NC). The site includes hot water showers and bathrooms and a covered shelter for court and feast. Their web address is http://webpages.charter. net/littlerivertrails/littlerivertrails.htm

Site Restrictions: The site is wet. Pets need to be on leashes at all times. Aboveground fire pits are allowed.

Feast: Feast is being prepared by Oisin Raegnir MacDonald.

Other Information: We are also organizing a dance for after the feast and a social tent for people looking to relax in style. Troll opens at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 17, and the site closes on Sunday, April 19, at 1 p.m.

Directions:
From the North: Take your best route to downtown Lillington. Follow, to the right, Hwy 210 South of town once it splits with Hwy 401 at the Burger King. You will cross the Upper Little River and as soon as you do, you’ll see Hanson Gravel Co. on your left. The next road to the left is McNeill-Hobbs Road. Turn left here and go about 1.2 miles. Little River Trails sign is on the left.

From the South: Take Hwy 210 North out of Springlake about 18 miles. You will pass the Harmony Baptist Church on the left side of the highway. The next road off to the right is McNeill- Hobbs Rd. Turn right here and go about 1.2 miles. Campground sign will be on the left.

From the east: From I-95, take exit 73 for Dunn and Erwin. Head west toward town. Drive 14.8 miles until you reach Hwy 201/401. Turn left and drive over the Cape Fear River. At this point, follow directions as coming from the north.

From the west: Take best route to hwy 421 towards Lillington. When 421 intersects with Hwy 201/401 turn right and drive over the Cape Fear River. At this point, follow directions as coming from the north.
