Serfs' Uprising
(2013-11-16 - 2013-11-17 - Site opens at 7:00 AM & Closes at 12:00 PM)
Windmasters' Hill

Though the tempestuous lands of Windmasters\' Hill are often rocked by strong winds, now a storm of a different kind is brewing. A mysterious figure is riling up peasants, serfs, and malcontents, gathering an army to his banner and challenging the rule of the baronage. Intrigue and mystery abound as warriors declare for the Royalists or the Populists. Espionage, backstabbing, and betrayal are the only certainties, and none can be sure who will rule Windmasters\' at the day\'s end ...

Martial Activities:  Royalist and Populist partisans will fight in both armored and rapier combat. There will be a variety of different melees. Heavy fighters are encouraged to make appropriately peasant-themed weapons such as pitchforks, sickles, or frying pans - so long as it gets past the marshal, it\'s good. There will also be target archery.

Arts & Sciences Activities:  The populist rebels are seeking surreptitious means to aid them in their struggle. All displays may include a short description of how the item may be used to kill one of the royalist oppressors. The most creative or unusual \"weapon\" will be recognized and used to further the cause of justice! The leaders of the rebellion will also recognize the best example of the peasant arts. Documentation is encouraged but not required. Finally, to seal their victory, the Populists will attempt to seize the famous stores of Windmasters\' beer! The best brew will be recognized by the day\'s victors.
