The Barony of Dun Carraig invites the good gentles of Atlantia to join us in celebration of our birthday, with our new Baron and Baroness, on the 8th of October 2016. We put forth a challenge to the great fighters and archers of Atlantia to test their mettle against fierce beasts in a grand hunt! Sharpen your swords and fletch your arrows in preparation, for we shall see which Barony’s fighters are truly the best.

In addition to the hunt, please join us for a scavenger hunt for children and adults alike, a themed A&S Open Display, and a Harvest Feast. Festivities will be held at Durham Parish Church in Nanjemoy, Maryland. For questions please contact Event Steward[AT]birthday.duncarraig.net

Martial Activities: For armored fighters, a hunt in the woods. Hunters will be teams of up to three, with one archer or spearman as the hunter and up to two single- swordsman as the hunting dogs. Fighters representing bear, boar, and stags will be found throughout the woods, and hunting teams will receive a token for each beast they defeat.

For rapier fighters, a similar hunt will be held. (Details have not been finalized, but will be posted on the event website.)

Site Restrictions:  The site does not allow smoking anywhere in the building. If you smoke outside, please smoke away from the tents and list field and clean up any cigarette butts. The site is discreetly damp. Beer and wine only, not in original containers. Site does not allow pets. Service animals are welcome.

Feast Information: A harvest themed feast will be prepared by Mistress Rose of Black Diamond

Directions:

Take the best route to MD-301 then take MD-6 W in La Plata and follow it for about 11.3 miles. Take a left onto MD-425 S/Ironsides Rd. The site is approximately 0.2 miles on the right.
