H-H-H-Hollywood!  In our society we strive to recreate aspects of medieval history with as much accuracy as we can.  We research, we document, we take classes, we teach classes...  Dun Carraig\'s Birthday this year will be an opportunity to kick off your fully documented, hand-sewn boots and enjoy some plain silly fun as we revisit the movies that sparked interest in medieval times for many of us.  Do you love The Princess Bride? Are you a Holy Grail fan?  Revel in poking fun at the inaccuracies of A Knight\'s Tale??  Come on out and play!

Martial Activities:  Heavy, rapier, and archery activities will be available.  We especially feature the annual Lochmere Arrow Tournament.  Teams of two from all baronies are welcome to come *attempt* to take it home.  The shoot is being created by Master Jonathas Reinisch and Lord Karl von Konigsberg.

Site Restrictions:  Parking at this site is not a standard lot.  Please follow the direction of the parking stewards.

Feast Information:  A scrumptious feast is being prepared by Lord Matthew of Summerdale.

Directions:  

Find your best possible route to Hwy. 301 going towards La Plata, MD.  Once in La Plata, turn west on MD-6 Port Tobacco Road (left if coming from points south, right if coming from points north.)  Travel 11.3 miles, then turn left on Ironsides Road (MD-425S).  In just over 1 mile, the road will take a sharp turn right (a church, the site for Royal Archery in May 2013, will be in front of you).  Follow the sharp turn, continuing on Ironsides Road.  Melwood is approximately 0.75 miles on your right.
