Saint Georges

The Canton of St. Georges celebrates A Knight’s Tale to honor the feats of those returning from the Pennsic Wars, and to delight the populace who remained in our cantons during this great enterprise. Come for a day filled with tales, heraldry, fighting, gaming, and feasting. Come as your favorite character from A Knight’s Tale. Join the throng to cheer on our fighters! Yes, we will rock you!!!

Activities: Join us for games of wits, skill, and Lady Luck. Other surprises await our good gentles - don’t miss a minute of the amusement!
At Feast, regale us with tales of Pennsic and heroic exploits, or present your own poetic letter declaring your love.
Children: Participate in Table Top Blacksmithing - materials will be provided. Joust at the quintain, face painting, and more.

Martial Activities: “They took it, at the tip of a sword!” Tourneys: Feats of arms and rapier will delight and amaze the gathered populace.
Fighters must present Patents of Nobility to compete, but fear not - Chaucer himself has agreed to produce a supply for those who are lacking. Choose from a wide variety of ancestries. There will be a jousting at the quintain event open to all who wish to test their skills. “I will fong you!”

Arts & Sciences Activities: For those who prefer the gentler arts, we offer the following competitions: Herald for Hire: Hone your bardic skills, and be prepared to present your fighter on the lists! Patents of Nobility: William's patents were craftily forged by Chaucer. Forge a Patent of Nobility for your aspiring knight. Four generations on each side are sufficient to prove noble ancestry. Hideous Haberdashery: Ladies, create and wear hats that Jocelyn would envy! Table Top Blacksmithing: Design a model of creative armor using common lightweight pliable materials. Bring your creation or work out your design on-site. Points awarded for signature mark (i.e. swoosh) Pennants: Enter your pennant in the competition for the best design, and then wave it at the lists!! Used and Re-used: The most creative creation made with materials which began as something else. (reference: William’s tunic for feast was made from the tent.)
