Travelers to the East have returned with fantastic tales of strange lands. They bring wondrous arts and stories of mythical beasts like the Ki-Lin, so like our own noble unicorn. A horned beast with a deer-like body and the head of a lion, the Ki-Lin is the protector of the innocent, symbolic of purity, truth, and prosperity. Join us as we celebrate this noble creature and the other mysteries of the Orient.
Martial Activities: Enter the Armored Combat- Come enjoy a day of martial skill, combined with Japanese code of honor, a fight with No Shields are allowed! So brush up on your two-handed weapons, pole-arms and dual weapon techniques. Come enjoy a fun day under the banner of the Ki-Lin! Enter the Rapier Combat-The Book of Five Rings has inspired a tourney that will test your rapier skill in ways of the truest samurai tradition. Enter the Field of the Arrow- On the archery field; combatants will prove their nobility in a dueling scenario, where honor is valued as greatly as skill.
Arts & Sciences Activities: Of the Arts and Sciences- All skills inspired by the Orient. Categories will be populous choice, novice and best documentation.
Cost: Children under 6 are guests of the canton.

From I-20: Take Exit 55 (Pelion/Lexington) Hwy. 6 (South Lake Drive) east toward Pelion/Redbank/Edmund. At the intersection of Hwy. 6 and I-20 continue on Hwy. 6 for 7.5 miles until you merge with Hwy. 302. Stay on Hwy. 6/302. Travel 1.1 miles and turn right onto Crystal Springs Road. There is a sign for Camp Congaree. Travel 1.8 miles and turn right onto Noah Lucas Road (dirt road). There is another sign on this corner. Follow this road 0.6 mile to Ferguson Road and you will see the entrance to Camp Congaree on the right.
