Hear the beat of the war drums, Atlantia’s borders are under threat of invasion! The summer is over and the harvest is in—now is the time to raid your neighbors bounty. An invitation is extended to Aethelmearc, Kingdom of the East and Atlantia to come and enlarge their own harvest by raiding their neighbors. There will be cattle and food raids, sheep and cattle tosses along with many battles. There will be A&S displays and contests, children\'s activities and a daytime bardic circle of bone-tingling tales, not to mention a fabulous feast featuring our bounteous harvest from the Cooks Guild. Martial Activities: ARCHERY: Kill the Spies
HEAVY WEAPONS: Harvest Battle — Steal your neighbors’ harvest. Points are scored at the end and based on what type of harvest items you procured.
RAPIER: Livestock and Cattle Raid—Steal your neighbors’ livestock while defending your own. Point total is based on types of yours vs., captured livestock.
SHEEP TOSS: Two styles will occur. One as a team relay and the second an individual distance toss. This activity is open to everyone.
PUMPKIN CHUCKN’ - BYOP or bring your own pumpkin and siege engine and chuck your pumpkin at your enemies. Siege Engines are to be battlefield size. This will be judged on distance and accuracy.
Arts & Sciences Activities: FOOD PRESERVATION: Come show off your skills in the area of food preservation: fruits, vegetables, condiments, meats, dairy, condiments,, and potables. Prizes will be given for each category. Documentation is requested but not required.
BAKING: Fall wouldn’t be complete without a good pie competition, fillings must be used from preserved food-stuffs. Pies can be sweet or savory. Please include your recipe along with documentation which we kindly request but is not required.
FIBER ARTS: Accessories for cold weather wear such as hoods, mittens, cloaks, socks, leg wraps, or leather wear. Documentation is requested but not required.
VEGETABLE CARVING CONTEST to be done on site, You must bring your own vegetables and tools for carving to participate. There will be a junior category for those under 16 and a senior category for those over 16. Juniors must be supervised.
ILLUMINATION: Depict your favorite illumination showing a harvest. Bonus points for a fall harvest. Documentation encouraged but not required. Extra creativity always encouraged (if you do not wish to use parchment, pergamenta, out of the box works just as well!) Cost Notes: No family (of parents and children) shall pay more than $40 total in site fees.
Site: Carroll County Agriculture Center, 706 Agriculture Center Drive, Westminster, Maryland 21157. Site opens at 9:00 a.m. for set up and activities will begin at 10:00 a.m. Site closes at 10:00 p.m.
Site Restrictions: The site is wet. Service animals are permitted (you provide sanitation services for them).

DESSERT BOARD: Bring your favorite dessert to share.
Merchanting Information: Tables will be provided at a cost of $5 each. Each merchant will be allotted a 8\' x 8\' space. Space is limited so register early.
Other Information: KIDS ACTIVITIES
COLORING THE CASTLE: A large castle has been procured for the assault but it seems to be colorless. Your skills are required to remedy this problem using the provided artistic implements.
STOP THE INVADERS: A bean-bag toss
SIEGE ENGINE CONSTRUCTION: Make your own tabletop siege engine in preparation for the Castle Assault
CASTLE ASSAULT: Bring your siege engines for an attack on the castle. Appropriate orange colored projectiles will be provided. This is a team activity or in other words parents will need to assist their child.
EXTINCTION: A Mother May I style game for animals trying to “winter over.”
SNACK ATTACK: A dessert creation that you must assemble and then attack with a spoon. (contains milk and wheat products)
OTHER ACTIVITIES:
BARDIC: Spine Tingling Tales – Bring your favorite stores, songs and performance that send shivers up your spine, create goose bumps or just make you jump (or not) and share them at our indoor fireside gathering
CASTLE ASSAULT: Why should the kids have all the fun. So when the kids have finished assaulting the castle with their mini-siege engines the adults can have their day as well.

Directions:
(directions given from Hanover, PA to the Ag Cen-ter) Take Rt. 94 South (becomes MD Rt. 30 at the state line). Follow 30 to Manchester and turn right on Rt. 27. Follow Rt. 27 to Rt. 140 East (in Westminster). Turn left onto the ramp to 140 East and travel to the first traffic light. Turn right onto Center Street. Take Center Street through two traffic lights to Gist Road. Turn right on Gist Road and follow signs to new entrance. Turn right onto new Ag Center drive.
FROM THE SOUTH: Take Interstate 270 North to Rt. 27. Follow Rt. 27 to Kate Wagner Road. (Kate Wagner Road intersects Rt. 27 before you reach the city of Westminster) Make a right onto Kate Wagner Road (which intersects Rt. 27 at a traffic light) and follow approximately 1.2 miles. Turn left onto Gist Road. Continue on Gist Road until you reach Smith Ave at stop sign. Continue on Gist Road about 1/2 block and make left at new Ag Center entrance
FROM THE EAST: From Baltimore Beltway 695, take Interstate 795 north toward Westminster. Follow the signs onto MD 140 and take 140 into Westminster. Turn left onto Center Street. Take Center Street through two traffic lights to Gist Road. Turn right on Gist Road and follow signs to new entrance. turn right onto new Ag Center drive.
FROM THE WEST: Take I-70 East to the Mt. Airy/Route 27 Exit. Head North on Rt. 27 toward Westminster for approximately 15 miles. Make a right onto Kate Wagner Road (which intersects Rt. 27 at a traffic light) and follow approximately 1.2 miles. Turn left onto Gist Road. Continue on Gist Road until you reach Smith Ave at stop sign. Continue on Gist Road about 1/2 block and make left at new Ag Center entrance.
