As one of the youngest baronies in
Atlantia, Hawkwood has a special place
in its heart for the youngest-ever
king of England, Henry VI, who
succeeded to the throne at only nine
months old after his father’s death,
but whose coronation didn’t occur
until November 6, 1429, when he was a
seasoned eight years of age. Join us
in a celebration of art, weaponry and
fun for all ages!

Martial Activities: There may be a tournament that combine our youth and adult fighters. There will be a tournament where a fighter choose a child to \"fight for\" as their champion with the honor of a special seat at court and high table as the prize. And, we are in luck! This young king inherited the Hundred Years’ War, went insane and kicked off the War of the Roses. I’m sure our fighting marshals can come up with some other excellently themed battles to accompany our event.
Arts & Sciences Activities: Lots of fun competitions are in the planning stages. One of which will be to have a youth design and create coronets for the Baron and Baroness of Hawkwood, to be worn during court. Please contact Lady Adaira Inghean Makyswell (Catherine Yvonne King) with ideas or questions, but information will be updated as it arrives.

Cost Notes: Camping is free, cost above reflects a bed in a heated cabin. There is a discount on reservations made prior to November 4th. See the event website for details. * Children 5 and under are guests of the Barony for the event, but MUST have a reservation if occupying a seat during feast or saying in a cabin. Feast is sold by SEAT, and cabin space by BED, not age. All refund requests must be received IN WRITING within 7 days of the end of the event.

Site Restrictions: Site opens Friday, at 5 PM and closes Sunday, at 11 AM - The site is wet. - Sorry, no pets allowed per Lutheridge rules - Park only in designated areas. - There is plenty of tent camping space and there are heated cabins for the first 25 to reserve cabin space. Please specify your preference in your reservation. - Merchants are welcome, but please contact the Event Steward in advance.
Feast Information: Feast is sold by the seat, regardless of age. If you feel you have need of special consideration, please contact the Event Steward. Contact information for the feast steward will be forthcoming soon.

Directions:
- Take your best route to Exit 40 (Airport Road) on I-26 (There will be signs for Lutheridge Conference Center at each exit.) - Turn AWAY from the airport and follow Airport Road until it intersects with Hendersonville Road (US 25) - About 3 miles. There’s a Walgreen\'s on the right. - Turn RIGHT onto Hendersonville Road/US 25 South. - Just past Walgreen\'s, turn RIGHT into Lutheridge Conference Center. - Obey the speed limits, because they have some big speed bumps!
Please note, there is a gated entrance at the light on Airport Road across the street from Wal-Mart -this gate is often closed. Please use the main entrance especially if you are not familiar with the Conference Center as there may be other events occurring.
