Welcome to SAAD 2013!  This year, join us as Bubba Goes on Crusade.  This event will have target archery, thrown weapons, atlatl, A&S, Event-wide pot luck, Bardic & drumming and LOTS OF FUN!

Martial Activities:  Static and moving target archery.  Static and moving thrown weapons.  Atlatl Battle.

Arts & Sciences Activities:  A&S Competitions to include: Best Primitive Garb for Atlatl Battle.  Written "Letters to Home" from the Crusade.  Bow sock competition, or "what you would use to carry your stuff while on Crusade."

Site:  Elchenburg Castle at 2239 Center Road, Booneville, NC 27011. Site opens Friday 5pm, closes Sunday 12pm.

Site Restrictions:  Pets MUST be on a leash, as this is an archery event....and archers get excited about moving targets. Yes! Flush toilets & hot showers. *Alcohol friendly site.*

Feast Information:  A fundraiser Wayfarers meal will be available Friday night for a small fee. A Ploughman\'s lunch will be available for a small fee on Saturday. Saturday evening event-wide potluck after court.  Bring a side dish. Burgers, dogs, buns, condiments all provided by the Event.

Directions:  

From Hwy 421 and Points south: Take your best route to I-77 North. Take exit 82 and turn right at the end of the exit ramp. *Proceed less than a mile and turn right onto Messick Rd. Proceed to the end of Messick Rd, and turn left on Center Road. Approx 8 miles later is a Pure Oil gas station on the left. 1.4 miles past the Pure Oil station, turn right on Willow Spring Lane, just past Mitchel Chapel. Signs will be posted.

From I-81 and Points North: Proceed to I-77 South to Exit 82, turn left at the exit ramp, use directions from *

From the East: From Interstate 40, take exit to Highway 421 toward Boone and Yadkinville. This road exits from I40 on the west side of Winston Salem near the intersection of Business I40 and Bypass I40. Continue on 421 until the Yadkinville/Highway 601 exit. At the end of the exit ramp in Yadkinville, turn right toward Booneville. Proceed into Yadkinville, and turn left onto old Highway 421. From old 421 one turn right on Booger Swamp Road, and at the end of Booger Swamp, turn right on Center Road. Turn left onto Willow Spring Lane.
