Trial by Fire and Lochmere Arrow
(2016-07-01 - 2016-07-03 - Site opens at & Closes at )
Bright Hills
Face down the fire of the dragons as
archers compete for the covetous
Lochmere Arrow! Teams of two from the
same Barony (or shire) will shoot to
determine who gets to bring home this
prize and show Atlantia which group
truly hosts the best archers. The
Lochmere Arrow was once called the
Golden Arrow but once Lochmere had
taken it home 10 times in a row, it
was renamed. Bright Hills is poised to
become the next Barony to accomplish
this feat - can your team stop them?Trial by Fire is the ultimate cooking challenge sponsored by the renowned Bright Hills Cooks\' Guild! See rules in the A&S section for more details.

Martial Activities: The Lochmere Arrow shoot is for teams of two archers from the same barony or shire. There will also be award arrows for the highest score in each individual archery Royal Round rank.
There will also be a thrown weapons tourney to determine the Bright Hills Baronial Champion, who would compete at Pennsic in the first Known World Baronial Champions\' Throw.
Arts & Sciences Activities: Bardic Activites: As three is the divine number, the magic number, let the bardic arts be the third area of contest offered, even as archers compete for the Lochmere Arrow, and cooks test their prowess in the Trial by Fire on the first weekend of July in Bright Hills
And let their be three contests for the performers:
First, in honor of the cooks, there will be a prize for the best story, song, tale, poem or other performance on the theme of food.
Second, inspired by the archery shoot theme, a prize for the best performance about dragons and /or dragonslayers;
and lastly, in a test of both memory and wits, there will be a riddle contest. While the main goal will be to win the most rounds by stumping your opponents, there will be extra prizes for best original riddles.
Cooking contest in addition to the Trial by Fire: The Baron and Seneschal of Bright Hills are sponsoring a challenge for cooking over an open fire (or charcoal).
