As Old Man Winter blows his blustery greetings across fair Atlantia, we here in Rivers Point have decided that a day of celebration is in order. We feel that a day of revelry and feasting will give everyone a chance to raise their spirits as we prepare for spring time. To that end, all who let us know they will be attending (pre-registered) will be fed a full feast meal (included w/ event). Merchants are welcome; just let us know your coming.To increase our knowledge we will be holding an OPEN A&S Display, allowing those who would wish to show their crafts and skills to our populace a chance to do so. While this is NOT a competition, we encourage any efforts made toward documentation, so that we may all learn from each other. For those who would care to participate, there will be a home brew tasting area for any who want to share the fruits of their labors. The site is wet.
In an effort to hone their skills, we invite all Rapier Fighters from across the lands to join us on our INDOOR field and show us your skills. Lady Brianna will be our Marshall and all questions may be directed to her as to the day’s scenarios. Should time permit, those interested in Rapier Combat may have an opportunity for a lesson or two. Alas, the ceiling in our hall does not permit heavy fighting at this time.
Between the days feasting courses the Ladies of Rivers Point have challenged those who will to come out and dance. BE WARNED: you may be drafted into dancing whether you think you want to or not. One look from our cadre of dancers and you will be light on the dance floor.
There will be games and assorted activities throughout the day while we delight in the food and fellowship about the hall. Please note that there will be no sponsored children’s activities, and for that reason, children 12 and under are guests of the canton at this event. From the East or West: Make your way to I-95.
From the North: Take I-95 to exit 52, Washington Street. Go approximately ½ mile to 151 Washington Street.
From the South: Take I-95 to exit 50ABCD / 460 Business, Washington Street. Take Washington Street 2 ½ miles to the site located on the Right.
We are in the fellowship hall next to the church please watch for the signs, it really is as simple as it sounds.
