Tir-y-Don

In the height of fall, Their Majesties Cuan and Padraigin seek their heirs to secure the future of Their fair Kingdom.  The Barony of Tir-y-don is honored to host this grand tournament.   Come enjoy the pageantry and festivities as Their Majesties select Their Heirs through a contest of arms. Cheer on your favorite fighter, marvel at the pageantry of the event, or take part in the Arts and Sciences displays and competitions.

Cost Notes:  If you preregister for feast before October 14th, the cost is $10 per person. If you register on or after
October 15th, the cost is $12 per person.  Feast is limited to 150 seats.  Reservations can be made via ACCEPS at http://acceps.ansteorra.org/index.php through October 23rd.  Please save a copy of your ACCEPS receipt and bring it when you check in. Offboard space available.  The site fee includes light lunch on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.

Site:  Bayport Scout Reservation 130 Scout Trail Jamaica, VA 23079.  Site open Friday 6pm, closes Sunday 12pm.

Site Restrictions:  -No Alcohol. (It\'s a Boy Scout camp) -No Pets. -No Open flames in the hall. -All fires on the parade grounds must be placed in raised firebowls. Ashes must be disposed of properly. -Certain parts of the field may not be
driven on and tents with long spike are restricted there as well.  Designated areas will be marked.

Feast Information:  A feast of English and French cuisine for 150 persons will be prepared by Lady Anne Cornelia Sintmaartensdijk.  Please see the website for the most up to date information.

Directions:  

From Points North: From US Interstate 95S in Fredericksburg Exit 126 on to US-1/US-17S toward
Massaponax. Follow US-17S for 66 miles. Turn left onto Canoe House Road. (If you pass the Virginia Motor Speedway
on Rt. 17, you went too far, flip around) **Follow Canoe House Rd. 3.5 miles, making a left at every fork in the road. Canoe House Road will change to Bayport Roan (Rt. 604). You will go down a winding hill and over a small bridge. After the bridge make a left into the camp property. Continue straight until you reach the Welcome Center.

From Points West: Take US-33 E through West Point. Follow US 33E until it intersects with US 17N Turn left on to US-17N. You will see the Virginia Motor Speedway on the left. 0.8 miles past the speedway you will see Canoe House Road (Rt. 605) and the Bayport Scout Reservation billboard. Make a right on Canoe House Road. Follow from ** above.

From Points South: Get on to US17N/J. Clyde Morris Boulevard (in Newport News). Continue to follow US-17N passing through York County, over the Coleman Bridge ($2.00 toll) and through Gloucester County. You will see the Virginia Motor Speedway on the left. 0.8 miles past the speedway you will see Canoe House Road (Rt. 605) and the Bayport Scout Reservation billboard. Make a right on Canoe House Road. Follow from ** above.
