Come one, come all to a grand melee event!  There will be heavy weapons, including combat archery and siege engines, rapier, archery and thrown weapons, and youth rapier. This year’s excitement and melees will be at the beautiful Camp Manidokan, 2.5 hours from Richmond, VA and 1 hour from D.C. and Baltimore.

Arts and Science Activities:A variety of classes and A&S competitions will be held.  The traditional Brewing Smackdown will be held.  Or come and display your works in open display.  Lady Violetta Catalina de Bretaingne will be the arts and sciences coordinator, for any questions please contact her at Brittian@comcast.net.  Please see the event website for details, forthcoming.

Site:  Manidokan Camp and Retreat Center, 1600 Harpers Ferry Rd. Knoxville, MD 21758.  This is a primitive site, please plan accordingly. Site opens Friday 5pm, closes Sunday 11am.

Site Restrictions: No pets are allowed. This is a dry site. No alcohol may be consumed outside of the official brewing competition area or by anyone other than the official judges of the brewing competition.No ground fires or pits may be dug for fires. Fire bowls or other raised containers may be used.

Directions: 

From Baltimore Take I-70 west toward Frederick. Just past Frederick exit, take Route 340 West toward Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. About a mile past Route 67 turn left at yellow flashing light and go to top of the hill and turn right on Sandy Hook Road. Proceed for about 5 miles and the Main gate will be on the left.

From Washington D.C. Take I-270 toward Frederick and merge with I-70 at Frederick. Exit onto Route 340 West and follow directions above. From Hagerstown Exit off I-70 onto Route 65 south toward Sharpsburg. In Sharpsburg, proceed straight through intersection with stop sign. Take a right onto Mills Road and turn left onto Harpers Ferry Road. The Center is located on the right approximately two miles past the town of Dargon.
