Nottinghill Coill
The time for celebrating the Yule season grows near and the Barony of Nottinghill Coill wishes to invite everyone to celebrate in this joyous occasion at this year’s Yule Toy Tourney. We are proud to be sponsoring Country Santa again this year by gathering toys for the children and families of our Barony. The toys will be given out to children by the Country Santa organization to help make the Yule season bright for everyone! Check out countrysanta.org for more information about this worthy cause! This year the Yule Toy Tourney will be a celebrated as a German holiday. The A&S, martial activities and the feast will all be held with this in mind. The feast will be cooked by Lady Milicent Shiveley (hagatha819[AT]AOL.com) and promises to be a high point of the event! There is only room for 90 gentles to eat feast, so be sure to get your reservations in early! For our overnight guests we have rooms that come standard with bathrooms that have showers and heat or air conditioning as the weather permits. The rooms are dorm style and sleep from 4 to 12 gentles. Linens, blankets and towels must be provided by guests. There are only 64 beds available so get your reservations in early to Captain Brendan O’ Caiside (bcaiside[AT]yahoo.com)! Last year the generous folks attending this event donated over 400 toys to Country Santa. This year, a challenge has been issued: if we collect double that number -at least 800 toys-, Dame Morwenna Trevethan will contribute $100.00 to supplement our donation! Let\'s make the Yuletide happier for LOTS of youngsters! During the day Psaltery Dreams Merchants will be providing coffee, tea, hot chocolate and holiday treats for everyone! This will be on a donation basis, with all profits going to Country Santa. They will also be sponsoring a Gingerbread House raffle! Tickets will only be $1.00 and you have a chance to win a lovely and delicious gingerbread house (or village!) Again, all proceeds from the raffle will be given to Country Santa.
