Inter-Baronial Twelfth Night
(2008-01-26 - Site opens at 10:00 AM & Closes at 10:00 PM)
Tir-y-Don

As the Yuletide holidays draw to an end, join us in celebrating the season's finale: Twelfth Night. We look forward to hosting our neighbors from Marinus in a day of revelry and good cheer. Enter a competition, perform a song, dance into the night, or simply visit and exchange gifts with friends from near and far.

Arts & Sciences Activities: Their Excellencies Jean-Claude and Alyna will be selecting their next Baronial Artisan from Tir-y-Don's skilled entrants in a modified triathlon. There will be other static competitions (open to all) for the best face mask, the best use of holly leaves in any medium, and the best item for a gift basket, as well as a performing arts competition. Classes include a critical tasting discussion for brewers and those interested in brewing (bring your favorite beverage to share and analyze). See web site for more details on classes and competitions. There will be limited space available for open display. Please contact Countess Adelicia of Cumbria (Carolyn Prickett) if you would like to reserve display space or if you have any questions. She can be reached at countessaddie@verizon.net or (757) 833-3139 (NLT 9 pm please). No traditional Twelfth Night would be complete without dancing! A dance lesson in the afternoon will be followed by an evening dance masque: masks are encouraged (enter yours in the A&S competition first if you like) and everyone is invited to stay and dance or just enjoy the music and company.
