War has come once again to Elchenburg Castle, this year Sacred Stone and Dun Carraig find themselves at odds. As always WoW offers gallant equestrian games, amazing arts & sciences, ferocious melees with siege weapons, live performances, archery, children\'s activities, shopping, parties... the list goes on. Martial Activities:  Heavy & Rapier melees & tournaments, Archery, Thrown Weapons, Equestrian activities, Seige activities.  Lysts and ranges open on Thursday.

Arts & Sciences Activities:  Competitions, classes, exhibitions, and performances will begin on Thursday. There is a very full schedule. Check the website for more information.

Cost Notes:  The price listed is for Pre-reg. Deadlines for pre-reg ACCEPS-Sept. 15, mail in-Sept. 20. The cost for adults after those dates and at the gate is $22.00 ($27 for non- members).

Site:  Elchenburg Castle 2239 Center Road, Boonville, NC 27011.  Site opens Wednesday 12pm, closes Sunday 3pm.

Site Restrictions:  This is a wet site, modern laws concerning alcohol apply, violation is cause for being put off site. Pets are allowed Leashed & Supervised at all times. Ground fires are allowed but must be filled in.

Feast Information:  There is no feast. But food vendors will be available.

Merchanting Information:  Merchants are welcome of course. Torches will be lit for evening shopping. The Merchant Meander will happen again as well.

Other Information:  There is detailed information about all of the event activities on the website. Fundraising activities will be donated to St. Jude\'s Children\'s Hospital this year.

Directions:  

From the south: Take your best route to I-77 North. Take exit 82 and turn right at the end of the exit ramp. Proceed less than a mile and turn right onto Messick Rd. Go to the end of Messick Rd, and turn left on Center Road. Approximately 8 miles later is a Pure Oil gas station on the left. 1.4 miles past the Pure Oil station, turn right at the first castle on the right on a gravel road (Willow Spring Way). Signs will be posted.

From Hwy 421: proceed to intersection with I-77 North. Take exit 82 and turn right at the end of the exit ramp. Proceed less than a mile and turn right onto Messick Rd. Go to the end of Messick Rd, and turn left on Center Road.  Approximately 8 miles later is a Pure Oil gas station on the left. 1.4 miles past the Pure Oil station, turn right at the first castle on the right on a gravel road (Willow Spring Way). From I-81: proceed to I-77 South to Exit 82, turn left at the end of the exit ramp. Proceed less than a mile and turn right onto Messick Rd. Go to the end of Messick Rd, and turn left on Center Road. From the east: from Interstate 40, take exit to Highway 421 toward Boone and Yadkinville. This road exits from I40 on the west side of Winston Salem near the intersection of Business I40 and Bypass I40. Continue on 421 until the Yadkinville/Highway 601 exit. At the end of the exit ramp in Yadkinville, turn right toward Booneville. Proceed into Yadkinville, and turn left onto old Highway 421. From old 421 one turn right on Booger Swamp Road, and at the end of Booger Swamp, turn right on Center Road, and stop at the first castle on your left, at the intersection of Willow Sping Lane and Center Road. If you see the Pure Oil station, you have gone too far.
