Feast of Saint Hermengild

St Hermengild was a Spanish Prince who converted to Christianity. His father, the King, was still Moorish. After Hermengild's conversion, the King had his son's head chopped off with an axe! Please join us for a day of remembrance as we fight, drink and most importantly, eat chocolate.

Martial Activities:
Heavy-There will be 3 fighting scenarios for your Spanish pleasure. We will begin the day to honor St Hermengild's death with an axe and hammer tourney. Followed by a "Royal Rumble" style tourney (Two fighters will enter the ring and every 20 seconds a random draw will send in a new combatant. Last person standing wins). Your final challenge will be a Warlord's Tourney.
Rapier-A non-sword tournament will begin your day to be followed by a Warlord's Tourney and then a "Royal Rumble" style tourney (see details above)
Target Archery-novelty shoot
Youth Combat- Double elimination tourney, followed by a melee.

Medallions for Kingdom awards (one award for the best medallion and one for the person submitting the largest number of medallions) All medallions will be donated to the Kingdom Treasury.
Spanish item from 1400-1600. Documentation required. Sponsored by Lady Victoria Pringle.

Cost Notes: Above cost are pre-reg fees. Tenting is not permitted, but there is plenty of cabin space. Deluxe cabin pre-reg is $12/regular cabin is $7. At the door costs: $9 daytrip adult/$4 under 12. Deluxe cabin $14/Regular Cabin $10. Non-members must add a $3 non-member surcharge. Breakfast on Sat and Sun is included in the cabin fee.

Feast Information: Feast will be cooked by Les Gloutonnerie Souteneur and will include period CHOCOLATE!!

Other Information: Event Steward's Own Competition- Best use of chocolate in an attempt to please the palettes and eyes of a panel selected by the Event Steward. You must submit enough of your item for 8 people to have a taste. (No documentation please).
