Ponte Alto
Once again, the cry goes forth for all heroes to vie for glory and honor in the Chalice Championships. And for those who choose to attempt it, there is the legendary “Chalice of the Sun God,” the cup of Helios given to Hercules in the course of his labors. This year the theme is Leda and her twins. This Leda is the same as Leda and the Swan, who gave birth to Castor and Pollux (the evening stars), and Helen of Troy and Clymnestra. Please join us for this unique challenge!Website: http://pontealto.atlantia.sca.org/events/chalice.php
Martial Activities: There will be armored, rapier, archery, youth armored and youth rapier tournaments. Competitors shall fight in a Challenger’s tourney for the right to best the current Chalice Champions in each discipline and become this year’s Chalice Champions. Questions should be directed to:
Rapier, Baron Marcellus Capoziello da Napoli ( afpopa@yahoo.com)
Armored, Lady Agnes Daunce ( agnes_daunce@yahoo.com )
Archery, Lady Brighid O’Hara ( mill3rs@yahoo.com )

Their Excellencies will also be choosing the Ponte Alto Archery Champion at this time.
Arts & Sciences Activities: There will be Chalice competitions in performance and artifact A&S to select this year’s Chalice Champions. The theme for both is anything that relates to the history of Leda and her children. Performers should have 2 pieces prepared, one of which shall be in period style documented.
