Berley Cort
The harsh winds of Winter and early Spring have fled; now is the time to return to
the Shire and enjoy sunny days and gentle breezes as we once again come together in
celebration. Archers! Gather your bows, fletch your arrows! Come enjoy a day of shooting
in Our Faire Land. There will be a competetion, and there will be prizes! Restrictions: NO pets. The site is wet; no original containers, please.
Site: The Hancock Farm, 14583 Cottage Hill Road, Sedley, Va. 23878. Remember that this is a very primitive site, so come prepared with all you need to be in the woods; chairs, tent, feast gear, water, insect repellant and any needed meds. The site opens a 5 p.m. on Friday, and closes at noon on Sunday.
Cost:
Adult member: $11.00 Day Trip, $13.00 Camping
Adult non-member $14.00 Day Trip, $16.00 Camping
Youth (6–17) $5.00 Day Trip, $8.00 Camping
Children 5 and under are guests of the Shire

Activities: There will be Target Archery on Saturday, one or more A&S competition(s) (TBA) and the renowned Berley Cort Bardic. Lunch will be provided by Lady Herridr, and a scrumptious Feast will be provided by the cooks of the Shire. For any dietary concerns, Please contact the Event Steward, Lady Herridr.

From Newport News/Hampton: Take the James River Bridge to Smithfield, and 258 South to Windsor. At the 258/460 junction, turn right onto 460 West, go through Zuni to Ivor, where you take a left at the stoplight, and follow directions at *
From Williamsburg: Take the Scotland Ferry to Surrey, Va., and go south to Wakefield, Va. Take a left onto 460 East, a right at the stoplight in Ivor, and follow directions at *
From Petersburg: Come to Ivor on 460 East, turn right at the light, and follow directions at *
* That puts you on Rt. 616; go 6 miles, through Berlin, and take the first left after you pass the Nottoway Elementary school on your left, onto Cottage Hill Road, which is Rt. 641. Go 2 miles and turn down the dirt road on the left, There will be signs. Follow the path all the way to the back field. We are in the woods to the right. All others (i.e. from the South) call the Seneschale (Lady Anne) for appropriate directions.
