Feast of the Saints: Feast of St Sebastian
(2015-05-09 - Site opens at 10 AM & Closes at 10 PM)
Falconcree
This year, we honor Saint Sebastian,
the
saint of archers, athletes, and
soldiers! We have chosen to hold this
event in May to honor him, as it is
also
National Military month. If you serve,
or have served in the military, you
will
receive a special favor that you can
take home with you.To celebrate Saint Sebastian, there will be a large archery range open for those who enjoy shooting. Lots of space for bows, crossbows, and Atlatls. As always, there will also be heavy weapons and rapier for all our soldiers. There is also a possibility of combat archery.
There is a private lake on the site that you are welcome go fishing and relax. Perhaps someone can research and present an A&S project or class on period fishing techniques! Also, we will be looking for all sorts of archery related A&S projects to stay with the event theme.
Since Sebastian passed in 288 AD in Roman, Roman garb is encouraged.
